Boxborough MA

The Town of Boxborough’s rugged, hilly terrain shows the effect of glacier
scouring in its geological past.  It is a small upland community with a
hill top town center retaining well preserved Federal period houses.  Much
of the community retains its period character, but the placement of the
state’s highways has spurred the town’s residential development.
Boxborough has an early agricultural history, which expanded to include
orchards and grazing for milk production.  The town has little if any
commercial or industrial development in its past or present.
